TITLE: Magnet Database Technician TKM-084

DIRECT EMPLOYMENT: REQUIRED GRADE RANGE: G4-G5

Purpose:
To participate in the development of software tools for the monitoring of ITER conductor and
magnet production.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

• Participates in the development and maintenance of the information system for the
ITER conductor production follow up;
• Participates to the development and exploitation/maintenance of other information
systems for the follow up of ITER magnet production;
• Participates in the development/maintenance of information systems at the CN, EU, JA,
KO, US, RF Domestic Agencies;
• Participates in the definition and development of information system for electronic
traveller treatment;
• Participates to the electronic archival of ITER magnet technical documentation;
• Maintains a strong commitment to the implementation and perpetuation of ITER safety
program, values and ethics.

Qualifications and experience:

• Education:
o Recognized qualification (degree, diploma or similar) in Mathematics,
Computational Science or a related discipline.
• Experience:
o At least 10 years’ experience in relational database applications creation;
• Good knowledge of RDBMS Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL;
• Knowledge and work experience in VPD (Virtual Private Database) technology would
be advantageous;
• Knowledge of Application Express and HTML would be an asset;
• Knowledge of Oracle9i Forms, Java and working experience with Oracle Application
Server would be an asset;
• Demonstrated ability to produce high quality results;
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in an international environment;
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy.
• Language requirements:
o Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
